Job description

Business Analyst / Functional Consultant – Banking Industry

Responsibilities :

  • Elicit, clarify, and document business requirements to ensure alignment with organizational needs.
  • Effectively articulate key functional capabilities of the SaaS solution suite.
  • Lead fit-gap analysis exercises to assess business requirements, align them with out-of-the-box capabilities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop action plans for addressing gaps.
  • Establish user stories and backlog items, and prepare test specifications following agile methodologies.
  • Prepare key implementation deliverables, including business requirements documentation, functional specification documents, and test strategy documents.
  • Organize and execute functional and integration tests across multiple functional areas.
  • Present and articulate solutions from a business perspective within the enterprise landscape.

Qualifications and Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • 5–8 years of experience in business analysis or functional consulting within the banking industry.
  • Strong data analytical skills, with the ability to assess and prioritize configuration requests within the company’s application.
  • A broad, enterprise-wide perspective of business operations, with an understanding of strategy, processes, capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance within the banking and financial services domain.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including written, verbal, and visual communication, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Strong collaboration skills, capable of influencing stakeholders and driving consensus across teams.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a positive, reliable, and results-driven approach.
  • Strong situational analysis and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to present recommendations and solutions logically to customers.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to quickly grasp complex requirements and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication of business needs.
  • Domain knowledge of banking, financial institutions, and / or large enterprise IT environments.
  • Basic understanding of cloud concepts and SaaS applications, with a willingness to develop expertise in these areas.
