About the Role :

Join us at ATCO Electric as a Work Desk Representative, as a valuable member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and changing environment, where you will be challenged to excel and make a difference.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Central Work Desk, you will perform daily functions required in the / operation of the Central Work Desk and responsible to respond and route incoming outage emergencies and dispatch work requests from a Call Centre to appropriate service provider in ATCO Electric’s distribution field operation. Your position uses job type and service targets to assess the appropriate priority and timely assignment of all work requests through the Central Work Desk.

What You’ll Do :

  • Operational Commitment (Work rotational shifts : am to : pm or : pm to : am)
  • Respond to all work requests, referrals and restoration from Call Centers and direct customer inquiries via telephone, fax, radio and email as well as time tag inbound calls and refer calls as required to appropriate service provider.
  • Monitor and close work requests and produce work completion reports.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support such as filing, photocopying, faxing, sorting mail and data entry as well as assisting the Supervisor Central Work Desk and Work Desk Representative Qualified.
  • Operate and utilize Work Force Management System (WFMS) and Outage Management System (OMS) to dispatch work requests, monitor progress, manage expectations and ensure completion.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    • What we are looking for / Who you are :

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • to years in a related role
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite : Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Databases, Word and Excel.
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills (both written and Oral)
  • Excellent Customer service skills.
  • Previous or Current work experience with Data Entry.
  • Previous or current work experience operating a computer and maintaining telephone conversations simultaneously.
  • Organizational and Time management skills, self-motivated and exercise good decision-making skills.
  • An understanding of ATCO Electric, the service area, geography and customers would be considered an asset.

    • The successful candidate will be required to maintain a residence within the established service point boundary for Vegreville, AB.
