Description
The Operations Systems coordinator loads the shift sort plans into the system and monitors the efficiency and effectiveness of the sortation systems within the Warehouse/Sort facility, by recommending adjustments, and implementing adjustments as directed by management to keep the warehouse/sort facility as productive as it can be.
Hours of work: Monday-Friday 1:00am - 9:00am
Responsibilities
- Input sort plans into the sortation system
- Monitor flow within the warehouse/sort facility and work with frontline managers to optimize capacity and service
- Collaborate with yard and control room coordinators to ensure overall flow planned in and out of the warehouse/sortation facility is maintained
- Respond to chute plan performance and observations in a manner that safeguards assets and mitigate risks to packages and people
Education
- Certificate in any electrical or automation control systems discipline
Experience
- 2 years operational experience in industry in an automated warehouse/sortation environment.
- 2 years' experience working in role with exposure to interprovincial line haul movements.
