JOB DESCRIPTION :

Reporting to the Vice President of Quality Assurance & Technical Training, the Technical Training & Development Manager holds a strategic role in leading corporate training initiatives. Responsibilities include the design and execution of a comprehensive training strategy aligned with organizational goals. Close collaboration with cross-functional teams ensures the development and delivery of targeted, high-impact programs that enhance employee performance, engagement, and continuous development.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Assess current and future training needs through job analysis, performance reviews, and consultations with leadership.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive and personalized training and development plans.
  • Deliver training through a variety of methods : workshops, e-learning, coaching, simulations, classroom sessions, and mentoring.
  • Lead onboarding and orientation sessions for new employees.
  • Monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness; regularly report outcomes and improvements.
  • Customize training to address specific gaps or operational challenges.
  • Promote continuous learning and professional development across the organization.
  • Maintain and enhance the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Deliver in-class training when required and develop annual training plans and calendars.
  • Manage and coach a team of instructors and training professionals.
  • Stay current with trends, innovations, and best practices in corporate training.

Profil

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Degree in education, human resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a regulated or standards-based environment.
  • Strong project management capabilities : planning, KPIs, communication, and execution.
  • Proven track record in designing, implementing, and evaluating effective training programs.
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methodologies.
  • Experience in the aerospace, military or manufacturing sectors.
  • Proficiency in training technologies, digital tools, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Background in consulting or internal project-based training initiatives.
  • Experience in leading organizational change and managing transformation projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities, including conflict resolution and team motivation.
  • Solid analytical, reporting, and data management skills.
  • Bilingual – fluent in both written and spoken French and English.

  • Full-time, permanent role.
  • Competitive base salary : $90,000 – $120,000 base / yearly.
