General Labourer (Coating Operator)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary :

Coating Operators , in Nisku, Alberta , will be responsible for the internal coating of used tubulars and related goods. Work is physical in nature and includes tasks such as : cleaning, blasting, and coating pipe, operating an overhead crane and related equipment.

Essential Job Responsibilities :

• Pipe handling
• Thread spray application
• Mixing / adding coating to system
• Overhead crane operation
• Equipment operation / set-up / adjustment
• Follow basic safety rules
• Report any accidents, incidents, near misses or hazards in the workplace
• Housekeeping
• Accountable to immediate supervisor to complete assigned job tasks in a safe manner
• Ensure safety of themselves and fellow co-workers
• Accountable for ensuring trainees are complying with Safe Work requirements
• Authority to correct improper work habits of trainees and to stop assigned work activities if unsafe conditions exist
• Other duties as assigned.
