Sanitation and cleaning in warehouse

We are currently seeking a dedicated Sanitation Specialist to join our team in Brantford. This is a critical role ensuring that our high-standard freezer facilities remain clean, safe, and organized.

This position is ideal for someone who takes initiative, possesses a strong attention to detail, and enjoys a role that keeps them physically active. In this Sanitation Specialist role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of various areas, including offices, lunchrooms, bathrooms, and change rooms. However, the heart of this position involves working within a specialized freezer environment maintained at -20degrees. You will perform ground cleaning on the warehouse floor and occasionally work at heights to clean storage racks using aerial platforms.

Safety is our top priority; while all specialized freezer PPE is provided. Clear communication and meticulous record-keeping are vital, as you will be responsible for documenting your tasks and ensuring all sanitation protocols are met.

We are looking for someone who doesn't just say "yes" but takes ownership of their work area and identifies what needs to be done. Whether you have experience in warehouse cleaning or retail maintenance, if you are reliable and willing to learn, we want to hear from you.

2 schedules:
-Weekday Shift: Monday to Friday: 7am to 3pm

-Weekend shift: Saturday and Sunday: 7am to 5pm

$19.50/hour

Responsibilities
The Sanitation and cleaning in warehouse is responsible to:

• Clean and sanitize designated warehouse areas, including offices, restrooms, and breakrooms.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the freezer warehouse floor in temperatures of - 20degrees.
• Utilize power walkies and other warehouse equipment to move materials or cleaning supplies.
• Operate aerial platforms to perform high-level rack cleaning (periodic task).
• Perform detailed paperwork and log all completed sanitation tasks accurately.
• Identify and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Ensure all cleaning chemicals and tools are stored safely and used according to specifications.
• Take initiative to maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the building without constant supervision.

Qualifications
Qualification for the perfect Sanitation and cleaner in warehouse:

• Great physical endurance and the ability to work in cold environments for extended periods.
• Comfort working at heights (training will be provided for aerial platforms).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow complex written instructions in English.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a "go-getter" personality.
• Basic computer or paperwork proficiency for daily logging and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during a shift.
• Reliability and a strong commitment to attendance and punctuality.
