Delivery Staff

Nature of the work

The delivery person ensures that orders are delivered to the satisfaction of guests and to Pizza Delight standards. They deliver orders to residences and to businesses.

Main functions

• Has a professional appearance;
• Applies the health regulations as to cleanliness;
• Applies the safety regulations;Applies WHMIS;
• Complies with the guidelines related to the proper usage of equipment;
• Complies with the guidelines related to the maintenance tasks of the restaurant and equipment;
• Ensures constant cleanliness of his or her work area;
• Organizes efficiently his or her work area and his or her work;
• Ensures automobile is clean and in good working condition;
• Replenishes provisions of condiments and other articles in the service areas;
• Completes the delivery orders;Delivers the orders;
• Delivers the meals and ensures a quality service all while complying with Pizza Delight customer service protocol and road safety regulations;
• Presents the bill to guests and collects the amount due, balances daily financial transactions;
• Complies with road safety regulations;
• Executes all other tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements

This type of employment requires little experience. Possession of a valid driver's licence is essential. Attention to detail and the ability to adapt are required. Interpersonal skills, easiness at meeting people, teamwork, collaboration, and good communications are required. Bilingualism may be required. Good personal grooming, integrity, stress management skills, dynamism, autonomy and flexibility are required.

Working conditions

Work hours are generally pre-scheduled. The schedule varies according to the position, daytime, the night time or the weekend. It is frequently required to work evenings, weekends and statutory holidays. There is a possibility of part-time work. The schedule may contain split shifts. Work is rather intense at mealtimes and there can be pressure to maintain the work pace.
