As the Associate Vice President of Individual MGA & National Accounts Sales you will head and act as an empowering leader for business development and client management, and hold accountabilities for the business growth and client retention of our Individual Insurance sales through our third-party distribution channel with managing general agents (MGAs) and National Accounts for Co-operators Life Insurance Co.
Operating with a customer-centric lens for our distribution partners, the AVP, Individual MGA & National Accounts Sales will represent the voice of our clients through their input and direction into Individual Insurance business strategy, priorities, and projects that drive our competitive position in the market.
How you will create impact :
Providing senior-level input to the Individual Insurance MGA & National Accounts Sales strategic plans with focuses on the execution of sales, retention, growth, and profit;
additionally supporting Sales team with the development and implementation of their strategic sales plans.
With holding accountabilities for driving Individual Insurance MGA and National Accounts revenue growth, you will supportively and motivationally empower the Sales team to attract new clients and increase revenue from existing clients.
Creating and managing sales and account management processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory, industry guidelines, and corporate policies.
Leveraging your expertise of the competitive landscape and industry trends to provide insightful leadership support to the sales and service teams, and directly participating in building and maintaining complex relationships with MGAs and National sales distribution partners.
Actively guiding existing client relationships to drive retention.
Providing input to product development, technology, and marketing plans.
Leading and engaging your team to deliver strategic objectives through effective coaching and mentoring, identifying and developing emerging talent, and fostering an innovative, collaborative, and agile culture.

To join our team :
You have 7-10 years of related experience, including experience in Sales and Client Relationship Management leadership.
You hold or are open to obtaining Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Charter Life Underwriter (CLU) designation and a Life / A&S Insurance license.
You are knowledgeable in Individual Life and Health Insurance products and have experience supporting MGA distribution channel sales.
Having national accounts selling or leadership sales experience is an asset.
You have proven successes in applying your business development and relationship management expertise while collaboratively supporting Sales teams in complex new business and retention agreements.
You are an experienced people leader, well-skilled in leading business development / sales and client management teams that have successfully achieved high-level of client satisfaction while delivering revenue growth and achieving retention goals.
What you need to know :
You are required to have your own vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance.
You will travel frequently.
This role involves direct contact with clients and / or service providers in their environment.
