Location : Toronto, ON (3x onsite a week)

We are seeking an experienced Application Performance Engineer to lead the Observability function for Capital Markets Technology. In this role, you will collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Application Support, Infrastructure, and Development teams to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of enterprise applications. You will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, tuning, and alerting on application performance across multiple environments. This position is critical to our operational excellence strategy and will play a key role in advancing our reliability engineering practices within the Capital Markets domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize Dynatrace to monitor application health and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Implement performance monitoring strategies for GBM applications.
• Conduct performance testing (load, stress, endurance) and analyze results to identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize code, queries, and configurations for improved performance.
• Provide recommendations for capacity planning and scalability improvements.
• Develop dashboards and reports to communicate performance metrics to stakeholders.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for performance-related issues.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in Application Performance Engineering.
