Senior Designer Wanted

The Role

We believe that small, collaborative, and cross-functional teams are best equipped to ship the most optimal project outcomes. Within these teams, our Designers apply brand sensibility to create experiences built on strong design language through the use of type, color, space, and motion.

As a Senior Designer, you’ll lead teams in concepting and ideation, establishing design principles, and producing design artifacts across the project lifecycle. You’ll collaborate with strategists, copywriters, and engineers, applying your experience in visual design, user experience, interaction, and brand, to ensure the work we ship is of the highest degree of craft.

Ideal candidates will have experience working in a digital studio environment with experience leading web and mobile design engagements. Your ability to produce work of the highest quality will be demonstrated through a portfolio that communicates your experience and your own personal design sensibility.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design of web and mobile experiences blending UX and UI sensibility
  • Help to translate briefs and requirements into plans and roadmaps
  • Guide the team to a clear understanding of project context, objectives, and constraints
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in concepting and ideation
  • Lead the production of design deliverables ensuring a high level of quality and precision
  • Support client workshops, presentations, reviews, and pitches
  • Manage, lead, and mentor colleagues while fostering a positive environment
  • Seek opportunities to expand your skills and capabilities within the agency

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years experience prototyping and designing for web and mobile
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating skill, craft, thinking, and experience
  • Expertise with UI patterns, design systems, grids, typography, and brand principles
  • Mastery of Figma and Adobe CS
  • Natural ability to communicate and present
  • Experience in a lead role, mentoring colleagues, and engaging with clients
  • A clearly defined design approach and methodology
  • Familiarity with service design, design thinking, ideation workshops, and concept sprints
  • Knowledge of usability, accessibility, and SEO best practices
  • Personal perspective on design’s ability to shape business, brands, and relationships
  • Working knowledge of front-end code, frameworks, and constraints

    • This is a remote position in Canada with a preference for candidates in Toronto. International applicants will not be considered at this time.
