Job Summary
The Loader Operator in Nisku, Alberta is responsible for using loaders / forklifts and other equipment to load, offload, move and store customer inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating industrial equipment such as forklifts, winches and other devices to load and unload sucker rods onto and off of trucks, railway cars and storage areas.
- Transporting materials to and from transportation vehicles and loading docks; storing and retrieving materials from yard storage.
- Under the direction of the District Manager, maintain storage racks and storage areas.
- Move rods throughout inspection and rod guide processes; assist in yard maintenance and construction of storage racks.
- Assist in inventory functions as required, including cycle counts and product verification.
- Monitor equipment, perform regular checks, and notify District Manager when maintenance is due or repairs are required.
- Follow all company policies, procedures and safety requirements.
- Participate in training programs as required by the company.
Qualification Requirements
Partial high school education with the ability to read, write and speak English.Valid Wheeled Loader ticket is an asset.Prior experience handling pipe or sucker rods is beneficial.Experience operating heavy equipment and / or machinery is an asset.Knowledge of sucker rods, tubing, casing, and drill pipe is preferred.Health & Safety Requirements
Yard environment; possibility of dust, fumes, gases and temperature / humidity changes.Physical requirements : squatting, lifting above 23 kg, reaching, twisting, ladder work, climbing, walking on rough ground, working near moving equipment.Must wear proper protective clothing and equipment at all times.Position Details
