Purpose

Responsible for providing clerical and data entry assistance for the Accounts Receivable Department.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Communication with customers
• Collection of accounts receivable
• Reconcile customer payments and identify issues for resolution
• Use of Navision, spreadsheet and word processing software
• Maintain daily cash receipts transactions in Navision
• Balance cash receipts daily in the general ledger
• Send out monthly customer statements
• Maintain customer tax exempt status
• Assist with review credit for new and existing customers
• Set up new customer cards in Navision
• General filing and administrative duties
• Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications And Education Requirements

• 2-year Business Diploma or 3 to 5 years equivalent experience.
• Skilled in handling numbers accurately.
• Able to deal effectively with rejection by customers.
• Demonstrated organizational, customer service, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to relate to all levels of management.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including strong Excel and Word skills.
• Navision experience is an asset.
• Proven self-starter.

Special Demands

• May be required to work overtime during month end, quarter-end, and year end or due to other operational demands.
• On call two evenings per week to service West Coast to help with releasing orders.
