The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CCIL Laboratory Technician to join our Ontario-based materials testing laboratory. This full-time, permanent position is well suited for a technician with hands-on experience in laboratory testing of asphalt, aggregate, soils, and concrete , who is committed to quality, accuracy, and safety.

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor and working closely with Project Managers, the successful candidate will perform quality control and quality assurance testing in accordance with CCIL, ASTM, AASHTO, CSA, OPSS, and MTO standards . This role is essential in supporting project delivery, maintaining laboratory accreditation, and ensuring audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Testing & Quality Control

• Perform laboratory testing on asphalt, aggregate, soils, and concrete in accordance with CCIL, ASTM, AASHTO, CSA, OPSS, and MTO standards.
• Conduct quality control and quality assurance testing under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor and Project Managers.
• Accurately complete test worksheets, calculations, and electronic data entry to ensure traceable, defensible results.
• Assist with the preparation and review of laboratory test reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Operate laboratory equipment safely and correctly in accordance with established procedures and training.
