Job description

We are looking for an expert in data science and machine learning who is motivated to join a group of experienced scientists. The candidate must have experience of implementing innovative solutions and an interest in concrete industrial problems dealing with real data.

The sought-after expert will meet with Quebec's most innovative companies and develop ML and AI solutions tailored to their unique problems. As part of the implementation team, the data scientist will collaborate closely on code, conduct experiments, present results to customers, write publications and all this in a friendly atmosphere among ML enthusiasts.

CRIM's data scientists are versatile, curious about breakthroughs in AI, but concerned about their real-world applicability. As a senior data scientist, the candidate will therefore be called upon to take the lead in ML solution design projects, collaborating with other experts specializing in different scientific fields, including automatic processing of text, images / videos, speech, the application of generative models and ML systems engineering. The candidate should also demonstrate an aptitude for writing research papers and designing experimental protocols. The candidate will be expected to popularize complex concepts to non-experts, share AI know-how with our partners and act as a mentor or supervisor to less experienced colleagues.
