The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Key Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by :

  • Calling on executive level personnel to develop industry relationships in order to create contracts and positions for 3M’s products
  • Determining the success of the key account programs and playbook
  • Supporting the sales team assigned to them
  • Manages MDF budget and initiates and approves projects to continuously improve efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Interprets industry trends, customer requirements, and business objectives to define guidelines / methods to achieve sales and profit targets.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant working experience with ownership of a channel partner or key account responsibility in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include :

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, and / or Sales field
  • Experience working with digital marketing tactics and e-commerce.
  • Current AAD employee
  • Experience in calling on national key accounts
  • Knowledge of how to work with the customer and dealer centric tools
  • Demonstrated experience of effective negotiation skills and strategic planning
  • Willingness to be on call
  • Work location :

  • Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)
  • Travel : May include up to 50% domestic / international
