Azran Lawyers , located in Old Montreal, is looking for a Legal Associate to join our committed and dynamic team.

As a Legal Associate, you will play a key role in managing the firm’s legal affairs, working closely with lawyers and other team members to ensure a high-quality legal service to our clients.

This position requires great attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and the ability to manage multiple files at the same time.

Roles and responsibilities :

Support for lawyers : Assist lawyers in case management, preparing legal documents, conducting legal research, and coordinating appointments with clients.

You will play an active role in preparing files for hearings and negotiations.

Case Management : You will be responsible for the complete management of client files, including organizing, updating, and archiving documents.

You will need to ensure that each file is complete and ready for meetings or hearings.

Drafting of legal documents : Draft, review, and finalize various legal documents, such as contracts, settlement agreements, and pleadings.

You will ensure that these documents comply with legal standards and firm requirements.

Communication with customers : Maintain regular and professional communication with clients, answering their questions and keeping them informed of the progress of their files.

You will be expected to exercise discretion and professionalism in all your interactions.

Coordination of the firm’s activities : Participate in the coordination of the firm’s day-to-day operations, taking charge of managing phone calls, organizing internal and external meetings, and providing logistical support for special events.

Requirements :

Experiment : A minimum of 1 year of experience as a legal associate or in a similar role is required.

Experience in a law firm is an asset.

Language skills : Excellent command of spoken and written French, as well as a good knowledge of English.

You must be able to write legal documents in both languages.

Technical skills : Proficiency in the Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.

Knowledge of Aliform software is a plus.

Personal qualities : Sense of organization, rigor, autonomy and ability to work under pressure.

You must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Customer Service : You must be customer service oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills.

Your ability to handle delicate situations with discretion and professionalism is essential.
