Our client, a respected not-for-profit organization, is seeking a Director of Business Operations to provide strategic leadership across finance, operations, information systems, and risk management . This senior role partners closely with the Executive Director and Board to ensure financial sustainability, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead organizational financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, audit, and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with all provincial, federal, and funder reporting requirements
- Oversee banking relationships, cash flow, and long-term financial planning
- Provide financial reporting and analysis to the Board and Finance Committee
- Support funding applications and ongoing funder accountability
- Lead and develop Finance and Information Systems teams
- Oversee information systems infrastructure, data security, and technology strategy
- Ensure effective risk management, insurance coverage, and cost controls
- Contribute to facilities planning and capital projects as required
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, or related fieldCPA designation in good standingMinimum 5 years’ experience in full-cycle financial management, preferably in a not-for-profit or healthcare environmentMinimum 5 years’ experience in a finance leadership roleStrong knowledge of information systems and financial softwareSolid understanding of relevant provincial and federal legislationProven leadership, collaboration, and strategic planning skillsAdditional Requirements
