About the Role

This position plays a key role in recreation office operations and facility scheduling / administration for Athletics & Recreation. It creates a community of inclusion and opportunity for students, staff, faculty and general community to participate in athletic and rec programs and services. This position is pivotal in training staff and building relationships with internal and external users.

Qualifications

High school graduation and training of moderate duration (one semester) in word processing, database, spreadsheet and desktop publishing applications. 2 years related experience. An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate / program of study and experience is acceptable.

  • Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills through interacting and working with faculty, staff, students and the general community in a professional, courteous, collaborative and respectful manner.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and customer service skills.
  • Ability to exercise mature judgement and initiative.
  • Ability to process cheque, debit and credit card transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift, move or carry materials and equipment up to 20 kg.
