Salary : $60-$75K, bonus, competitive benefits, vacation, staggered hours option

OUR CLIENT

On behalf of our client, we are hiring an experienced Maintenance Manager.

Our client operates facilities in both British Columbia and Ontario and offers a supportive and luxurious environment for their clientele.  As Maintenance Manager, you will be managing all aspects of day-to-day building maintenance, life safety systems, regulatory requirements and overall upkeep of assets within the residence.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Minimum of 6 years experience in Building Maintenance / Management in either Hospitality, Senior Living Environment or in Commercial / Residential real estate
• Building Environmental Systems (BES) diploma from a recognized college and / or Building owners and Managers Institute (BOMI) certificates or designations
• Class 4 Power Engineer, Red Seal Trade Qualification, Pool Operator Certification would be strong assets
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry and building codes
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Familiar with Outlook, Word, Excel
• Previous experience with budget planning / tracking and PO systems
• Ability to provide training to key personnel on fire and flood emergency response procedures and critical building systems
• Ability to read and interpret Operating & Maintenance Manuals and As Built Drawings related to equipment and systems
• Understanding of Building Automation systems, features and functions
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (lift 50lbs)
