The Opportunity

Innovate and Lead – In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of building and growing a high-performing mechanical engineering team in Interior BC. Based in Kelowna or Kamloops, you’ll shape our local operations and expand WSP’s presence across BC, the Yukon, and Western Canada. This is more than technical leadership—it’s about vision, growth, and impact.

Your Impact

• Recruit, mentor, and lead a growing team of mechanical engineers and designers in Interior BC.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with WSP’s values.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure quality and consistency across projects.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in healthcare, education, transportation, science & technology, and light industrial sectors.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building lasting relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
• Lead or support proposals, presentations, and other business development initiatives.
• Oversee mechanical system design (HVAC, plumbing & drainage, fire protection) from concept to completion.
• Ensure compliance with National, Provincial, and Municipal codes and project specifications.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and design approaches to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions.

Compensation

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT : $122,900 – $162,800

MB & ON : $112,100 – $154,400

Atlantic Provinces & QC : $111,000 – $147,400

Disclosure : The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The wage range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
