Purpose

The ideal candidate is a visual storyteller who can drive impact. The Videographer & Editor is responsible for aiding in the creation of creative projects that build pride and represent our Bank and executives in their best close collaboration with the team and communications partners they provide full-service creative production for Internal & External communications. With a solutions-driven attitude they are creating thoughtfully without losing sight of commercial realities budgets and business objectives.

This may involve working with Scotiabank clients coordinating third party vendors managing updates and improvements to technology solutions and ensuring risk assessment procedures are adhered to execute appropriate avoidance or mitigation strategies and escalate as required.

Is this role right for you In this role you will be involved in :

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships systems and knowledge.
• Effectively manages pre-production & production of creative projects for Scotiabank Group stakeholders by :
• Meeting with stakeholders analyzing and accurately interpreting user requests / requirements establishing project goals.
• Preparing and executing shoots including lighting sound recording and other requirements on location and in studio with a variety of styles based on context.
• Capturing compelling visuals at events on location and in studio to fit the story.
• Coaching on-camera talent to ensure confident authentic delivery providing guidance to align with the creative vision and organizational objectives.
• Ensuring optimal use of time talent and resources to successfully deliver high impact creative work.
• Continuously discovering and adapting new production technologies and industrys best practices to maximize efficiency.
• Working closely with team ensuring all assigned projects are according to Banks brand standards; delivered on time and within budget; developed and produced in the most effective and cost-efficient way.
• Creates impact through professional storydriven video editing by :
• Crafting compelling visual stories by selecting the strongest takes refining pacing and integrating graphics music and sound design to enhance impact.
• Editing video content with creativity and precision ensuring alignment with narrative goals brand standards and audience expectations.
• Learning about the Banks strategic priorities and objectives to make informed editorial choices.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to incorporate feedback efficiently managing revisions and following timelines and communicating changes to critical users including senior management.
• Organizing and manage media assets project files metadata and version control to ensure smooth workflows and easy access for team members following the Bank policies and compliance standards and ensuring that system confidentiality is maintained at all times.
• Troubleshooting project issues and resolving conflicts as required; gathers facts assessing options and determine appropriate solutions. Communicating changes to critical users including senior management.
• Broadening creative and technical capabilities and staying current with professional video standards concepts and technologies
• Understand how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabanks Values its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles while ensuring the adequacy adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational compliance AML / ATF / sanctions and conduct risk.
