Job Description
The inventory analyst manages inventory items, controls day-to-day inventory operations, and implements inventory control protocols. To be successful, the inventory analyst must have a strong attention to detail and possess acute commercial awareness. The inventory analyst interprets and implements data on consumer trends and spending.
Role And Responsibilities
Maintain and improve the company's inventory situation by analyzing inventory statistics.Perform extensive research on a wide range of inventory-related reports such as Excess & Obsolete Report and take action to improve the numbers.Direct buyers and stockroom workers.Perform regular inventory counts.Draft inventory reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other statistical data.Report inventory statistics to management and suggest improvements to inventory control.Coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies between inventory and revenue.Create and maintain inventory databases and systems for accurately managing inventory.Create all long lead time items in ERP system as soon as the part list of new projects has been provided.Supplement BOM in ERP by adding additional information in parts such as part category, warehouse, manufacturer name & number etc.Validate BOM (per unit qty) during the new product introduction stage of a new project to ensure that the qty of PUR parts is correct in ERP system.Support Product Line Manager, Supply chain team, and sales on the management of PUR parts.All other related tasks are considered part of the role and may be assigned as needed.Knowledge And Skill Requirements
Post-secondary diploma / certificate required.A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar field.Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.Familiarity with mechanical assemblies and electrical assemblies.Experience with LN is an asset.Master the French and English language (clients, colleague from the United States).Key Performance Indicators
