Security Policy Specialist [BHJOB13022_13631]

On behalf of our Valued Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting a Security Policy Specialist to join our Client's team on a contract basis. This role is Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 remote), and the Client is based in Vancouver, BC.

Summary of the Role :

The Security Policy Specialist will review, consolidate, and optimize Group Policy Objects (GPOs) while developing a robust security framework for a Windows 11 migration project. The role requires expertise in Active Directory, Windows security policies, and endpoint security configurations to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Analyze and consolidate existing GPOs to streamline policy enforcement and enhance system performance.
• Design and implement secure, efficient, and scalable GPOs for Windows 11 environments.
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks such as CIS benchmarks, NIST CSF, and Microsoft Security Baselines.
• Collaborate with IT security, infrastructure, and operations teams to enforce security hardening measures.
• Conduct testing and validation of new GPOs to prevent system disruptions and ensure smooth deployment.
• Maintain documentation of policy changes, configurations, and implementation procedures.
• Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting GPO-related issues.
