We are a modern robotic dairy farm in the Greendale community of Chilliwack, BC. We are looking for a full time employee who will be a key person in the day to day operation of our 300 cow milking herd. We are a robotic dairy with Lely A5 robots, averaging 40kg. We are an AI herd (no bulls on the farm) and have approximately 300 youngstock on the farm as well. Responsibilities would be vast and both physical and technical; from cleaning stalls to feeding calves, feeding the herd 2-3 times a week, vaccinating cows and calves, cleaning equipment, field work and maintenance of machinery. You would be one of the team and work both on your own and with others to make sure our farm operates efficiently and our herd performs well. Our ideal applicant would have experience in robotic milking farm management, good time management, proper animal handling skills, knowledge in monitoring and treating cow and calf health issues, attention to detail, be organized and keep proper records, experience in DairyComp 305 and Lely Horizon software. We have on-farm housing available (4br, 1.5 bath) in a great location minutes away from a great town and outdoor activities.
