Lightspeed is looking for a Team Lead, Outbound Sales Development to join our growing North American Retail team. You will be responsible for driving our local Outbound teams to generate and qualify leads for the sales department. In this role, you will be the go-to person for the team. You will help them to exceed their objectives through continuous training and coaching.

Lightspeed’s Outbound team is now in hyper-growth mode. Our process has been refined and optimized at a smaller scale in the last few years, now is the time to expand our team and our reach.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Being a mentor and motivator
  • Providing guidance, training and coaching
  • Analyzing, reporting and taking action on pipeline metrics
  • Developing outbound initiatives to maximize the team performance
  • Working with the marketing and sales team on developing new strategies to grow our sales pipeline based on conversations and input you will be having in the market
  • Driving performance to consistently meet monthly, quarterly and annual goals

What you’ll be bringing :

  • Relevant sales experience in a B2B environment, preferably in a solution-sales / technology-related environment
  • Strong understanding of sales development best practices
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills, including strong listening, verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and / or exceed sales targets
  • 2+ years of experience coaching / leading a team
  • A love of numbers : you recognize a quantitative approach to making decisions
  • A love of coaching : You enjoy helping your team members evolve in their sales career
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive, dynamic and quota-driven environment
  • Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently
  • Retail or Hospitality experience a plus
  • Proficiency in English
  • An entrepreneurial and agile mindset, a bias toward action and an ability to pivot when needed to meet business needs and objectives
  • Experience with Retail point-of-sale systems is an asset
  • Experience in technology (software, mobile or other) is an asset
