A Day in the Life of a Collision Repair Technician

• Execute all activities on the R/O, ensuring to notify the Production Manager of any additional damage that does not appear on the R/O.
• Repair and replace front‑end components, body components, doors, frame and underbody components as per manufacturer’s specifications.
• Scan vehicles to determine any codes related to the accident and record all data in BMS (Business Management System).
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure quality standards in restoration and repair, reducing rework and warranty claims.
• Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation.
• Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques.
• Other related tasks as required.

Requirements

• High school or college automotive body repair diploma.
• Body Technician license preferred.
• At least 2–3 years of experience as a Body Shop Technician preferred.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
