Principal Pipeline Engineer

About the role

BMT Canada is recruiting for a Principal Pipeline Engineer to join our experienced team to enhance the capacity and capability of the team.

A Principal Pipeline Engineer at BMT Canada will work as a senior member of the Infrastructure and Materials & Structures teams technical and management team and perform the following duties :

• Executing and directing technical projects
• Providing guidance and mentoring to junior staff
• Write, review and contribute to project reports
• Manage and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
• Be a technical leader for pipeline and / or pressure vessels and piping design and integrity assessment considering pressure, geotechnical and thermal loading
• Have experience and familiarity with relevant Canadian and US pipeline and energy sector standards and codes of practice to lead project teams in code compliance review and assessments.
• Support project and business management
• Identify opportunities for technology and staff improvement
• Support recruitment of additional staff
• Review, discuss and refer business opportunities to appropriate business units within Infrastructure ( Structural Integrity, Welding, Materials, Software & Instrumentation, Design & Construction)

Salary Range

140,000-165,000
