Nurse Practitioner - Long Term Care - Attending NP (Warkworth)

Can-NP-Serv is an NP led organization that aims to reinvent the geriatric care delivery landscape by promoting flexibility, accessibility and elevated customer service extended to facility operators and the clients they serve.

We are currently looking to fill a part

• time permanent
• NP contractor position located in Warkworth
• to deliver high quality care to residents and clients within the Geriatric sector. As a contracted NP you will be responsible to run your own independent business in the delivery of high quality care to operators, staff, clients and their families under the mission and vision of CNPS. The position is for service delivery at an LTC facility, 3 days per week.
• Responsibilities :
• Responsibility over medical care delivery to geriatric clients
• Management of complex chronic co-morbidities
• Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team in the course of care delivery
• Provide high quality customer service
• Provide clinical / medical education to clients and staff
• Participate in care conferencing
• Job Requirements :
• COVID vaccination
• Completion of recognized Nurse Practitioner program - Primary Health Care preferred
• Current extended class certification with College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience (geriatrics preferred)
• Experience with chronic disease management and geriatric care
• Ability to deal with crisis situation promptly and effectively
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and problem solving skills
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification
• Current vulnerable sector police check
• You must have reliable means of transportation
• The position allows for some scheduling flexibility
