Stay22 est à la recherche dun(e) Head of Data stratégique et opérationnel(le) pour mener notre fonction data vers sa prochaine phase de maturité. Il sagit de notre tout premier rôle dédié de Head of Data avec pour mission de piloter la transition vers une organisation orientée Data Products.
Vous hériterez dun stack data moderne et dune petite équipe hautement qualifiée. Nous souhaitons faire évoluer notre gouvernance et nos processus data démocratiser laccès aux insights en interne renforcer et standardiser notre stack technologique et bâtir les fondations permettant de monétiser nos actifs data à lexterne.

Votre mission consistera à faire croître léquipe consolider un environnement de reporting actuellement fragmenté déployer des modèles ML à fort impact dans nos différents verticals et explorer des moyens de partager et éventuellement monétiser des données anonymisées auprès de nos partenaires via notre hub.

Responsabilités clés

1. Leadership et gestion déquipe

  • Design organisationnel: Structurer léquipe afin de soutenir la forte croissance de lentreprise dans nos verticals actuels (Voyage et Commerce de détail) ainsi que les nouveaux à venir.

  • Budgets effectifs et logiciels: Préparer un budget annuel basé sur les données dans le cadre du processus de planification. Gérer les budgets humains et logiciels tout au long de lannée en effectuant les arbitrages nécessaires.

  • Mise à léchelle rapide de lorganisation: Recruter et intégrer des talents de haut niveau afin de doubler la taille de léquipe existante dici 2026.

  • Équipe hautement performante: Instaurer une culture de responsabilité de fiabilité dimpact mesurable et de sécurité psychologique.

  • Gestion des fournisseurs: Diriger les processus dapprovisionnement SaaS mener les négociations et gérer les relations avec les fournisseurs afin dassurer les meilleures solutions au meilleur coût.

  • Adoption dune mentalité Data Product : Encourager les squads à concevoir et livrer des produits data en traitant les actifs internes (tables modèles tableaux de bord) comme de véritables produits avec SLA feuilles de route et versionnage.

2. Qualité des données gouvernance et gestion du changement

  • Qualité des données: Piloter une initiative à léchelle de lentreprise visant à élever significativement les standards de qualité des données et à les maintenir dans le temps. Faire évoluer Stay22 dune approche réactive de correction de bugs vers une assurance qualité proactive et observable.

  • Propriété fédérée des données: Concevoir déployer et faire respecter un modèle de gouvernance où les équipes métiers (Ventes Partner Success RevOps Produit) sont propriétaires des données quelles génèrent. Elles seront responsables de la qualité et des définitions plutôt que de faire reposer lensemble de la charge sur léquipe data.

  • Gestion du changement: Porter la transformation culturelle nécessaire pour faire adhérer lorganisation à ce modèle. Former les parties prenantes non techniques et faire de lintégrité des données un KPI à léchelle de lentreprise.

  • Audits et standards: Mettre en place des audits réguliers et appliquer des standards stricts de saisie et de collecte des données dans tous les systèmes sources.

3. Leadership de la plateforme data

  • Responsabilité de la plateforme: Collaborer avec le/la Staff Engineer pour diriger larchitecture et lorchestration de la plateforme data. Assumer lentière responsabilité des flux de données de bout en bout.

  • Conception end-to-end: Superviser larchitecture data à toutes les étapes : ingestion transformation exposition et activation.

  • Intégrité des pipelines: Définir des standards rigoureux dobservabilité et des SLA garantissant la fiabilité et la performance de linfrastructure data.

4. Machine Learning & MLOps (standards 2026)

  • Recherche de marché: Concevoir et déployer des études de marché complètes afin didentifier les tendances dynamiques concurrentielles et opportunités de croissance dans le secteur de lIA.

  • Implémentation stratégique du ML: Superviser le développement de modèles prédictifs générant un ROI tangible dans les verticals Voyage et Commerce de détail tout en assurant une mesure rigoureuse de limpact.

  • Architecture MLOps moderne: Mettre en place des pratiques MLOps de calibre mondial adaptées au contexte de 2026 : pipelines automatisés de réentraînement feature stores registre de modèles et surveillance avancée de la dérive.

5. Refonte du reporting et consolidation du stack

  • Consolidation: Diriger une refonte complète de lenvironnement de reporting fragmenté actuel (Google Sheets Mixpanel Looker Dagster HighTouch).

  • Analyse comparative et sélection: Évaluer rigoureusement les besoins internes et les outils du marché afin de sélectionner des solutions BI équilibrant autonomie des équipes métiers et gouvernance data.

  • Stratégie de migration: Exécuter la migration vers le nouveau stack avec un minimum de perturbations en établissant une source unique de vérité pour tous les KPIs de lentreprise.

6. Monétisation partenariats et Data Hub

Hub de partage de données sécurisé: Concevoir et développer un produit data externe sécurisé mis à disposition de nos partenaires via notre hub.

Anonymisation et conformité: En collaboration avec le/la responsable conformité implémenter des techniques avancées de protection de la vie privée permettant de partager de la valeur granulaire sans compromettre la confidentialité ni la conformité GDPR/CCPA.

Stratégie commerciale: Travailler avec le/la CCO et le/la CTO pour définir le modèle commercial de nos données et transformer nos insights uniques en Voyage et Commerce de détail en une source de revenus significative.

Qualifications

  • Expérience: 10 ans et plus en ingénierie de données analytique ou science des données dont au moins 5 ans en rôles de leadership.

  • Expérience de transformation: Historique démontré de consolidation doutils data disparates vers un stack moderne unifié. Capacité à discuter des compromis entre outils BI et plateformes data avec léquipe exécutive.

  • Expertise ML et MLOps: Expérience avec des modèles ML en production et lutilisation de LLMs. Capacité à faire évoluer des solutions ayant un impact direct sur les revenus (expérience B2C Voyage ou Commerce de détail est un atout).

  • Monétisation et partage de données: Succès démontré dans le lancement de produits data incluant stratégie de prix mise en marché et optimisation continue.

  • Connaissance du stack: Expérience avec des outils tels que Snowflake ou BigQuery dbt Airflow/Dagster Mixpanel MongoDB GCP et des outils BI modernes (Sigma Looker).

  • Protection des données: Expérience avec PIPEDA GDPR et réglementations américaines en matière de confidentialité (un atout).

  • Style de leadership: Approche player-coach : capable de définir la stratégie tout en mettant les mains dans le code au besoin.

  • Communication: Maîtrise de langlais requise pour les échanges quotidiens avec des collègues et partenaires internationaux.

Stay22 is looking for a strategic and operational Head of Data to lead our function into its next phase of maturity. This is our first dedicated Head of Data role that will drive the transition to a Data Product organization. You will inherit a modern data stack and a small skilled team. We want to mature our data governance and processes democratize insights internally strengthen and standardize our technology stack and also build the engine to monetize our data assets externally.

Your mission is to expand the team consolidate our fragmented reporting stack deploy high-impact ML models in the different verticals and explore ways to share anonymized data to our partners in our hub and potentially monetize it.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team leadership and management

  • Organizational Design: Structure the team to support the organization in its fast pace growth across current verticals (Travel and Retail) and new ones

  • People and software Budget: Prepare a data-backed budget for the annual planning process including forecasting funding needs for the future. Manage during the year people and software budgets making trade-offs when needed

  • Scale the Organization immediately: Recruit and onboard top talent to double our existing team in 2026.

  • High-performing team: Foster a culture of strong accountability dependability impact delivery and psychological safety

  • Vendor management: Lead the SaaS procurement process conduct negotiations and manage vendor relationships ensuring we have the best solutions for our needs within our budget

  • Evolve squads to a Data Product Mindset: Foster a mindset of producing Data Products into squads ensuring that internal data assets (tables models dashboards) are treated as products with defined SLAs roadmaps and versioning.

2. Data Quality Governance & Change Management

  • Data Quality: Lead a company-wide initiative to significantly elevate data quality standards and maintain it on an on-going basis. Move Stay22 from reactive bug fixing to proactive quality assurance and observability.

  • Federated Data Ownership: Design implement and enforce a governance model where partner business teams including Sales Partner Success RevOps and Product will own data they generate. You will ensure they are accountable for the quality and definition of the data they produce rather than the Data Team shouldering the burden alone.

  • Change Management: Champion the cultural transformation required to make this ownership model stick. You will train non-technical stakeholders and drive the change management required to make data integrity a company-wide KPI.

  • Audits & Standards: Establish regular data audits and enforce strict data entry/collection standards across all source systems.

3. Data Platform Leadership

  • Platform Ownership: Collaborate with the Staff Engineer to lead the companys data platform architecture and orchestration. You will hold full ownership of end-to-end data flows ensuring seamless integration across all layers and squads.

  • End-to-End Design: Oversee the data architecture at every stage including ingestion transformation serving and activation.

  • Pipeline Integrity: Establish rigorous observability standards and SLAs to guarantee the reliability and performance of our data infrastructure.

4. Machine Learning & MLOps (2026 Standards)

  • Market research: Design and implement comprehensive market research studies to identify trends competitive dynamics and growth opportunities in the AI sector

  • Strategic ML Implementation: Oversee the development of predictive models that drive tangible ROI in Travel and Retail in a cost effective manner. Ensure impact is measured rigorously.

  • Modern MLOps Architecture: Implement best-in-class MLOps practices appropriate for the 2026 landscape. This includes automated model retraining pipelines feature stores model registry and rigorous drift monitoring to ensure reliability at scale.

5. Reporting Revamp & Stack Consolidation

  • Consolidation: Lead a comprehensive overhaul of our current fragmented reporting environment (currently spanning Google Sheets Mixpanel Looker Dagster HighTouch).

  • Benchmarking & Selection: Conduct a rigorous audit of internal needs and external market tools. Lead the evaluation and selection of BI tooling balancing self-service capabilities for business users with governance for the data team

  • Migration Strategy: Execute the migration from legacy tools to the new stack with minimal business disruption establishing a Single Source of Truth for all company KPIs.

6. Monetization Partnerships & The Data Hub

  • Secure Data Sharing Hub: Architect and build a secure external-facing Data product made available to our partners in our hub. This platform will serve as the interface for our partners to access insights and datasets.

  • Anonymization & Compliance: In partnership with Stay22 compliance manager implement advanced privacy-preserving techniques appropriate for our data sharing model to ensure we can share granular value with partners without compromising user privacy or GDPR/CCPA compliance.

  • Commercial Strategy: Work with CCO and CTO to define the commercial model for our data turning our unique insights in Travel and Retail into a significant revenue stream. Build required partnerships if necessary

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10 years in Data Engineering Analytics or Data Science with 5 years in leadership positions.

  • Transformation Experience: Proven track record of consolidating disparate data tools into a unified modern stack. You must be able to discuss the trade-offs between different BI tools and data platforms and hold strategic discussions with the executive team

  • ML and MLOps Proficiency: We have multiple production ML models and use LLMs for content analysis. Youll scale these capabilities thanks to your strong understanding of the end-to-end ML lifecycle. Experience guiding teams to deploy models that impact the bottom line (specifically in B2C Travel or Retail sectors is a plus).

  • Monetization & Sharing: Demonstrated success taking data products from concept through to market including pricing strategy go-to-market execution and ongoing product optimization

  • Stack Knowledge: Experience with our current or potential future stack tools (Snowflake/BigQuery dbt Airflow/Dagster Mixpanel Mongo GCP and modern BI tools like Sigma or Looker).

  • Data privacy: Experience with PIPEDA GDPR and US privacy regulations preferred

  • Leadership Style: You are a Player-Coach who can set high-level strategy but isnt afraid to code review a pipeline or debug a broken dashboard when necessary.

  • Communication: English proficiency is required for daily communication with international clients and colleagues.
