EEAST is looking for an Events & Media Officer for the All Women EEAST (AWE) Network

Abstraction from your current role will be agreed in line with service requirements as per the abstraction policy.

Main duties of the job
The Media & Events Officer will have responsibility for supporting the following functions:
- Fostering links between the East of England Ambulance Trust Service and similar providers within Health who share the same vision.
- Being aware of all events and networking opportunities within the East of England area that the network can link to.
- Linking in with external events providers and representing the DSN and EEAST AMB
- Provide support to colleagues linking men with mentors or role models
- Co-ordinate a limited number of social events around the activities of the group for members of the network and other colleagues within the Trust
The Group may invite such persons it deems necessary to its meetings for contribution to specific agenda items.

The All Women in EEAST (AWE) Network, relaunched in 2021, is open to all women and those who identify as women, working within EEAST.
The main function of AWE is to promote and champion inclusion of all staff within EEAST, provide support and empower women to achieve their full potential.
AWE aims to encourage, enable and facilitate change within EEAST. AWE believes that by tackling gender inequality and discrimination the Trust can be a better place to work and provide better patient care and experience to the communities we serve.
We look to harness the power of our women to promote social inclusion, change perceptions and influence policies.
The network hosts quarterly virtual meetings, which all staff are invited to attend, with details on when and how to join made available on East24. The team also attend events such as recruitment events and Trust awards to promote the network and meet with new and perspective members. The network also co-host a collaborative annual event with Essex Police and Essex Fire and Rescue Service for International Women's Day.
