Job Summary
Perform all service supervisor duties and provide leadership to Readyquip technicians in support of customer requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide in-branch leadership for service operations
- Schedule field and workshop service work load to maximize productivity in the field and workshop
- Coach, mentor, recruit technicians to meet and exceed customer and business objectives
- Manage, understand and provide direction on financial implications of work being requested / done including invoices, warranties, policies, redo, etc.
- Manage fixed assets, tools in the branch, service vehicles and assist in preparation of plans for capital expenditures
- Manage and prepare quotes and review invoices for customers, while managing work-in-progress in timely fashion
- Promote a high level of customer satisfaction and follow up on repairs
- Improve customer satisfaction by identifying problem areas and initiating corrective measures relating to shop floor or office procedures
- Manage required training needs and maintain training register, performance evaluations and guidance sessions for direct reports
- Promote workplace safety by ensuring all employees investigate all accidents or near misses
- Lead and participate in safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors and customer relations at all times in support of Readyquip Health and Safety Policy / Program(s) and best practices
- Encouraging continuous improvement in operations through scheduled meetings between management, other departments, and employees as well as regular service meetings
- Work with all other departments to deliver high level of customer service
- A commitment and sensitivity to addressing the customer’s specific needs
Qualifications
Fluently bilingual in French and English, oral and written3 years experience preferredCertified technician possessing either : journeymen, red seal or equivalent certificate, preferredWorking knowledge in heavy equipment industryMust be able to read and understand prints (hydraulic & electrical), drawing and technical bulletinsMust possess good relationship management, interpersonal and communications skillsDemonstrated computer skillsWork evening shifts and weekends as requiredCompleted post-secondary educationA team player with a strong customer service orientationGood organizational skillsSense of urgency with the ability to prioritize and deliver timely results in a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing prioritiesMust have a good driving record (copy of drivers’ abstract may be required)Excellent communication, negotiating, analytical and organizational skillsExcellent customer serviceEffective leadership, coaching and team building skillsSelf motivated and able to adapt to changing and multiple prioritiesKnowledgeable with Microsoft applications along with basic computer skillsWorking knowledge of competitors equipmentCharacter Competencies
