Job description

Our client in the healthcare industry is seeking a Senior Business Process analyst to lead their contiuous improvement initiatives. Focus will be on process optimization, standardization, and innovation, leveraging methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.

Duration : 12 months

Location : Hybrid 1d / week Mississauga (flexible)

Responsibilities :

  • Process Optimization & Analysis : Conduct comprehensive analyses of existing processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend actionable improvements. Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and DMAIC methodologies to identify root causes and implement strategic process enhancements. Lead value stream mapping activities to eliminate waste, streamline workflows, and improve operational performance.
  • Operational Excellence & Standardization : Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and measure the impact of improvement initiatives. Document and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, accountability, and scalability. Challenge the status quo respectfully to foster innovation and advocate for change management principles.
  • Technology Enablement : Leverage technology to enhance process cycle times, operational quality, and deliver better patient outcomes. Collaborate with IT teams to integrate solutions that align with business goals and improve efficiency.
  • Leadership & Collaboration : Act as a mentor and provide guidance to teams on operational improvement principles and practices. Facilitate workshops and discussions to build consensus and influence cross-functional teams. Manage and execute project activities, including planning, governance, and delivery, to meet business expectations.
  • Insights & Analytics : Analyze business data to identify trends, support decision-making, and provide insights into operational performance. Deliver actionable recommendations based on data-driven analyses and market trends.

Requirements :

  • 5+ years experience leading or managing projects focused on process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent training.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard problem-solving methodologies (LSS, DMAIC).
  • Familiarity with process documentation, value stream mapping, and KPI tracking.
  • Experience leveraging reporting tools such as PowerBI to capture and report on KPI's for business decision making
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build consensus, influence stakeholders, and effectively manage change.
  • Effective facilitation skills and a team-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in Pharmacy, clinical services, or a related field.
