Machine Operator With Forklift

A leader in the building materials industry is seeking two (2) experienced Machine Operators with strong Forklift skills for their facility in Bolton. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity featuring a unique compressed work week (4 days on, 3 days off) and a competitive starting rate. Candidates must be comfortable with a 2-week rotating shift schedule and have a background in heavy industrial manufacturing.

Training Period : Mon – Thurs 6 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM.

Full Schedule (Post-Training) : 2-week rotation between Days and Nights.

Day Shift : Mon – Thurs 6 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM.

Night Shift : Mon – Thurs 6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM.

Responsibilities

Machine Operation : Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot specialized packing machines used in a production environment.

Equipment Operation : Safely operate Counterbalance and Reach forklifts to move heavy products and raw materials.

Production Support : Ensure the production line stays active by feeding materials and clearing jams in the packing area.

Quality Control : Inspect finished products for defects or damage before final packaging.

Safety & Maintenance : Adhere to strict industrial safety protocols and perform basic machine cleaning and pre-shift inspections.

Qualifications

Certification : Must hold valid external forklift licenses (Counterbalance and Reach).

Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse or heavy manufacturing environment.

Technical Skillset : Previous experience operating packing machines is required.

Industry Asset : Prior experience in a stone, brick, or paver manufacturing plant is a significant advantage.

Shift Flexibility : Must be able to commit to the 2-week rotation (Days / Nights) and the 12-hour shift structure.

Physicality : Ability to work in a heavy industrial environment and handle the physical demands of the production floor.
