Senior Analyst - Accounting

Overview

Join the Senior Analyst – Accounting role at Finchley Healthcare Ventures, a life science venture capital fund dedicated to supporting companies developing novel therapies. The role ensures the completeness of monthly closings, prepares financial statements, supports year‑end audit, and participates in forecasting and budgeting cycles for the portfolio companies and funds.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director Finance & Compliance in all finance functions of the organization.
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and proper presentation of the financial statements.
• Explain fluctuations versus budget on the P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Participate in LBE (Latest Best Estimate), Budget and Strategic plan processes for the P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Participate in audit and the preparation of yearly consolidated financial statements and notes.
• Support with Capital Calls received from invested companies and funds.
• Support in return investment analysis and due diligence activities for the investments of the Company.
• Support the Investment Team on an ad hoc basis.
• Support with legal and regulatory requirements by helping with the implementation procedures and policies.
• All other tasks related to the role.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Proven experience in Fund Accounting.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Capacity to work as part of a team, initiative, thoroughness.
• Bilingual (English and French) required due to interaction with partners outside province.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. SAP and OneStream are assets.
• M&A and due diligence experience an asset.
