PepsiCo Beverages Full-Time Packaging Machine Mechanic
The Role :
The Packaging Machine Mechanic contributes to the success of PepsiCo Beverages Canada by repairing and installing production equipment. This individual also inspects equipment for proper functioning, performs preventative maintenance duties and diagnoses equipment malfunctions for repairs and adjustments as needed. This skilled position is located at the Calgary Facility.
This is a full-time position that requires open availability including weekends.

Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment.
- Repair building system.
- Changeover production line equipment
- Upgrade areas with new equipment / technology, working with outside contractors.
- Interact daily with computerized maintenance and parts programs.
- Perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner.
- Follow the direction of Maintenance Lead hand, Supervisors and Department Managers
- Able to work in a multi-department team environment.
- Keep work area orderly and clean.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
- Must be a 609C Certified Packaging Machine Mechanic.
- Class 4 Power Engineer Certificate is an asset (PepsiCo will pay for training courses)
- Knowledge of machine control systems, safety control system and troubleshooting them
- Willing to contribute and dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint.
- Bottle and Can Line maintenance experience in the food / packaged goods industry is an asset.
- Able to work with machine shop tools and welders in a safe productive setting.
- Ability to read and understand layout drawings and machine parts manuals.
- Must be able to lift / carry 50-85 lbs. Must be able to push / pull up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching and grasping.
- Must be able to work shifts and overtime as required.
