About the Position

The Faculty of Education invites applications for a one-year Instructional Limited Term Appointment in the Department of Educational Studies, teaching Dance Education (K–10) in the Teacher Education Program. The position involves teaching foundational courses in creative movement and arts-based pedagogies to teacher candidates across two divisions : Primary / Junior (including ELKP) and Junior / Intermediate.

The appointment, subject to budgetary approval, will commence July 1, 2026.

The target hiring range for this position is $95,000 to $120,000. The final salary will be determined based on relevant experience, internal equity and budget considerations.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in Dance Education, specifically teaching creative movement through an arts-based pedagogical lens (, drama, music, and / or visual arts) in Grades K–10. Familiarity with the Ontario Arts Curriculum for Grades 1–8 and 9–10 (2009) and the Ontario Kindergarten Program (2026) will be considered an asset.

Applicants will hold a completed doctorate in Dance Education, Educational Studies, or a closely related field (, Creative Movement Pedagogies, Integrated Arts-based Pedagogies).
