On behalf of our valued client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Technical Writer.

Summary of the role :

This contract role focuses on developing and maintaining detailed, clear documentation for a government media monitoring and insights system. The successful candidate will address recommendations from a system review, including automated testing, usability studies, and comprehensive documentation, to improve system stability and scalability.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Develop clear, concise, and structured documentation for system architecture, APIs, training materials, and other technical content.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure documentation supports knowledge transfer and future development efforts.
• Document procedures and workflows for software development processes, including Agile methodology.
• Ensure compliance with security and data standards by documenting appropriate procedures.
• Assist in modernizing technology approaches, including transitioning to cloud-native and containerized solutions.

This is a 3-month contract position, working remotely from anywhere in Canada. Candidates must be available to work PST hours. Deliverables include submission of a one-page resume and two references. Candidates may need to undergo a criminal record check or reference check before an offer is extended.
