Summary :

The goal of the Family Support Program is to provide short-term, outcome-focused assistance to families experiencing significant challenges with the parent-child or parent-adolescent relationship.

Crisis interventions include conflict resolution, immediate modeling of parent techniques, facilitation of meetings, supervised access referrals, and additional work alongside the child.

This team works closely together to help reach the best outcomes for both the child and the family.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required

Qualifications & Requirements :

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in human / social / child and youth care services is required; a combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • One (1) year recent related work experience and demonstrated support skills working with families in crisis.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver’s license
  • Knowledge of and the ability to work with complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD or other neurobiological conditions is beneficial
  • Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered)
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
