Overview

Hammond Power Solutions Inc. is a global manufacturer headquartered in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. HPS is the leader in North America in the custom design and manufacture of dry type transformers. We provide electrical power solutions for mining, rectifier, drives, traction, wind, solar and other electrical power applications. We currently have an opening for a Junior Accounting Analyst co-op , for the May 2026 work term. This is a 4-month Co-op position.

Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Reporting & Compliance, this position plays a key role in supporting the financial operations and the implementation of a new financial consolidation system. The incumbent will assist in financial reporting, accounting processes, and project tasks, including the setup of a new financial consolidation platform. The role will require a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across various teams.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

• Assist with preparation of accurate and timely monthly account reconciliations and analysis.
• Support account reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Help compile supporting schedules for internal and external reporting.
• Perform data validation and tie-outs between subledgers and the general ledger.
• Assist in gathering information for audit requests and management reviews.
• Support ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
