Contract Duration : 06 months

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety and environmental programs within a unionized heavy manufacturing environment. This role will drive compliance, strengthen safety culture, and ensure continuous improvement across client locations in Scarborough.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain Safety Management Systems aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001
• Promote a proactive safety culture through behavior-based safety, risk assessments, and safety walks
• Provide technical guidance on hazards including overhead cranes, gantries, welding, forklifts, scissor lifts, high-voltage labs, and chemical management
• Oversee operator training programs (In-Training vs. Fully Trained)
• Ensure compliance with OHSA, O. Reg. 851, CEPA / OEPA, WSIA, and related legislation
• Manage environmental reporting (NPRI, RPRA, EASR / ECA, ChemTrac, Waste Audits)
• Lead WSIB claims management and Return-to-Work programs
• Track and improve EHS metrics, injury trends, and GHG reduction initiatives
