Job description

Hamilton Kent is seeking for a permanent full time Industrial Millwright (433A) who will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all production and ancillary equipment.

LOCATION : HK – Toronto- Etobicoke

POSITION AVAILABLE : A SHIFT : 7AM – 3PM (Monday – Friday)

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure that all equipment required for production is operational per work order
  • Replace / repair equipment parts as required
  • Ensure that computerized work order system is updated for work orders completed
  • Perform preventative maintenance and fill in data sheets appropriately.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright-433A)
  • Experience in maintaining industrial equipment
  • Strong knowledge on pneumatic and hydraulic system
  • Basic understanding of low and high voltage power systems
  • Knowledge on welding jobs and modification
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good team player
  • COMPLEXITY & JUDGEMENT

  • Strong skills troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery which include but are not limited to the following : mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, lubrication, cooling, exhaust systems, pumps, presses, gearboxes, fans, tanks, conveyors, presses, and generators
  • Ability to use various machine tools, lathes, milling, fabrication, welders, presses, etc.
  • Able to use precision tools , laser alignment, dial indicator, etc.
  • Use testing equipment and techniques in predictive and preventative maintenance
  • CONTACTS

  • Interacts with maintenance foreman, other maintenance personnel, plant engineer, and production personnel (especially during evenings and weekends)
  • WORKING CONDITIONS

  • 100% of time on plant floor or in maintenance workshop. Will be required to stand 100% of the day.
  • Maintaining equipment, repairing breakdowns, working on assigned improvement projects which could involve moderate (30 lbs.)
  • Incumbent understands, respects and adheres to the workplace Health & Safety rules & regulations which are derived from the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
