Responsibilities of a Business Developer for a Small Construction Business

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management

Identify and pursue new clients and projects in the commercial construction sector.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry stakeholders.

Proposal and Bid Preparation

Collaborate with the estimating and project management teams to develop competitive bids and proposals.

  • Qualifications and Skills for a Business Developer in a Small Business Setting

    Qualifications : Education :

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not required)

    Experience :

    2–5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the construction or related industry.

  • Familiarity with the local market and industry players.

    Basic understanding of construction processes, terminology, and project management.
