Class 1 Driver

Dawson Road Maintenance is looking for Seasonal Operators, holding a Class 1 license , who will skillfully navigate frozen roads, clearing snow and ice, to ensure our roadways are safe for all travelers.

In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Road Maintenance, working in a temporary, full-time position of Class 1 Driver , reporting to the Road Foreperson. This position requires an experienced operator to meet company production objectives and work within specified tolerances for a Gravel Hauling Project. We are currently hiring in Fort St. John, B.C. and may require some travel throughout our great province.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

• Must prioritize safety of self and others in all aspects of the job
• Work collaboratively with all team members to successfully complete tasks at hand.
• Ability to perform unskilled manual work requiring little previous training or experience but involving physical effort.
• Operate heavy equipment in all weather conditions, on public roadways in a safe and appropriate manner
• Follow direction of the Supervisor regarding daily production schedule and activities
• Maintains a daily activity of work in progress and status of completion

Maintain proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment
