As a Product Manager, Doors, you will be responsible for the strategic development and management of the door category of products at Metrie. Your role will involve understanding consumer and customer needs, analyzing market trends, and formulating a comprehensive category strategy to support revenue and profit growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including suppliers, sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure the success of the category. In collaboration with our commercial teams at a channel and regional level, this role manages the assortment and product lifecycle of the door category.
Responsibilities :
- Support and inform regional and channel strategies to drive category sales and profitability growth.
- Identify opportunities for product rationalization and expansions to drive commercial growth and market share improvements.
- Improve inventory asset utilization to drive ROA.
- Identify opportunities for innovation within door category to drive growth and improve the customer experience, including downstream customers.
- Provide subject matter expertise to support business planning and marketing development.
At a high level, you will :
Assortment Optimization
Identify opportunities for new product development, assortment expansion and rationalization, and improvements to existing products within the category considering customer and end-user demand, market trends, and profitability.Work closely with the Innovation team and Channel Marketing to ensure the timely launch of new products and improvements to existing ones.Continuously monitor product performance, sales data, and customer feedback to make data-driven assortment decisions and inform marketing priorities.Collaborate with commercial groups and channel marketing to develop effective sales and promotional strategies.Lead the development of internal and external product training materials to support door growth.Partner with supply chain and operations teams to ensure effective inventory management for the category.Product Data Management and Performance Analysis
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for the category, identify areas for improvement, and take proactive measures to support target achievement.Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate category performance, strategic initiatives, areas of risk, opportunities, and clear action items to senior management.Collaborate with Pricing team to conduct regular pricing analysis to ensure the category remains competitive in the market.Active participation and ownership of door category in Product Data Management effortsQualifications :
Post-secondary education, preferably in business administration or marketing.Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales or product management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data and make informed decisions.Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.Expertise in project management and demonstrated success contributing to cross-functional teams.Experience in identifying process gaps and defining and implementing process improvements.Knowledge of market trends, end-user and customer behavior, and competitive dynamics in the industry.Approximately 20% travel required in North America.What you’ll enjoy
