Full-Time Permanent Role)

The College of Physiotherapists of Ontario regulates physiotherapists and exists to protect and serve the public. The College protects the rights of patients to safe, competent, and ethical care by ensuring physiotherapists are qualified to practice, maintain professional standards of practice and are held accountable for their conduct and practice.

The College of Physiotherapists of Ontario is currently seeking the services of a professional, self-motivated, detail-oriented candidate for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer role.

This role is ideal for an individual who has a broad understanding of the Microsoft Azure environment, is proficient in troubleshooting computer equipment and working with vendors. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer should be a good communicator and be able to explain technical processes to non-technical staff members. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer must be self-motivated and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

This is a remote position as the College has a virtual office, but occasional onsite attendance in Toronto may be required.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Information Technology Team Lead, the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer is responsible for designing and developing customized solutions within the Dynamics 365 platform at the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. This includes coding, unit testing, building applications, and creating, modifying and troubleshooting existing applications

The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer must be self-motivated and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize solutions in Microsoft Power Platform based on business requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to identify gaps and inefficiencies in existing business processes, proposing and implementing Power Platform solutions to address them.
  • Provide expert guidance on Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Power Apps capabilities, functions, and features.
  • Design and implement Power Automate Flows for business process automation and system integration.
  • Configure Dataverse tables, forms, views, and Power Pages.
  • Develop and maintain real-time and asynchronous workflows in Dynamics 365.
  • Write JavaScript web resources for Dataverse / PowerApps to enhance functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve reported issues in Dynamics 365, ensuring effective problem resolution.
  • Support integration of Power Platform solutions with Dynamics 365 and third-party applications via connectors and APIs.
  • Assist in developing and delivering end-user training sessions.
  • Undertake IT related projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Post-Secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing and deploying solutions using Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and / or Dynamics 365
  • Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, and Power BI
  • Experience working with Dynamics 365 Plugins
  • Experience developing and integrating Azure services
  • Proficiency in JavaScript
  • Solid knowledge of integration technologies, APIs, and protocols.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint and integration with Power Platform
  • Familiarity with HTML & CSS (nice to have)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong technical knowledge, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion as required
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload and handle competing priorities
  • Project management skills is an asset
  • Terms, Salary, and Working Conditions

  • A full-time permanent position
  • The starting annual base salary range for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer role is $75,000.00 to $80,000.00 based on qualifications and experience
