Regional Business Development

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM), the Regional Business Development (RBD) role is responsible to drive sustainable revenue and profit growth by prospecting new opportunities, researching leads and forging strong relationships with customers. The RBD will sell Kal Tire products and service solutions to new customers and serve as a trusted advisor for their region.They will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.Responsible for introducing Kal Tire’s products and service offerings to a wide range of potential regional customers at all levels, including the C-Suite. The RBD will develop a growth strategy, both on fair-profit and customer satisfaction, by providing expert advice to key internal and external stakeholders around business development solutions and activities.
Responsibilities
Business Development
- Focuses on regional customers to establish net-new business for the region.
- Develop, execute, and oversee a business development strategy that prioritizes growth and positive customer experiences.
- Promote Kal Tire’s product and service offerings, addressing or predicting customers’ requirements.
- Prospect, negotiate, and acquire new business to achieve sales targets.
- Responsible for working with internal teams to onboard and integrate customers.
- Works both independently and collaboratively with various teams in their region to win business, close sales to achieve sales goals.
- Collaborates with the RSM and the Regional Director (RD) to align market and account strategies with applicable business objectives for their portfolio and region.
- Develop, implement, and grow business using a sustainable structure to allow for successful account management transition to a different Kal Tire sales channel.
Sales & Account Management
May be required to maintain and grow a sales portfolio for the region in addition to their business development.Develop and nurture a trusted advisor relationship with assigned accounts, key stakeholders, executive decision makers and influencers.Provides coaching and mentorship to store management with the region to support sales strategies.Reporting / Metrics
Collates and maintains customer information in CRM to ensure account information and insights are current.Monitors sales progress and analyzes sales data to evaluate and update portfolio strategies and ensure corporate and regional goals are being met.Utilizes performance tracking, various reports, presentations, and other sales tools as required to differentiate the value of Kal Tire as a sales and service provider.Records and tracks all metrics related to sales strategies; reviews and develops customer service and retention plans.Professional Development / Networking
Serves as a trusted advisor and Kal Tire ambassador to customers, internal partners, and the overall regional network, while actively participating in related local industry associations.Demonstrates grace under pressure and the highest ethical standards, while upholding the Kal Tire Aims.Maintains an expert level of knowledge of all Kal Tire, and competitors, product and service offerings.Proactively builds business acumen and stays current with market trends, relevant technology, etc.Participates in designated continuing education training to upgrade skills and knowledge.Requirements
1-2 years of relevant work experience in business development or similar field required;Post graduate diploma or degree preferred, or relevant combination of education, sales industry certifications, and / or equivalent combination of education and work experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Active listening, empathy and a positive attitude to effectively collaborate with both external and internal stakeholdersProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Teams), Salesforce CRM, and other sales tools for data management and customer relationship management.Ability to gather and interpret data from various sources (., social media, industry reports) to identify new customer opportunities and market trends.The ability to influence customer decisions by clearly communicating value propositions.Comprehensive understanding of all Kal Tire, and competitor’s, product and service offerings, allowing for confident communication with customers.Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, operations) to achieve shared goals.Special Requirements
Flexible to travel as required.Valid driver’s license.Requires working some nights / weekends, physical demands (., lifting, performing yard checks).What we offer
