Shift : Continental (12-hour Nights) 7 : 00pm‑7 : 00am (Week 1 : Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 48 hrs.; Week 2 : Thursday, Friday, Saturday 36 hrs.)
Pay Rate : $37.90 / hr
Sign-on Bonus : $3,000 (net)
License Required : 3rd Class Stationary Engineer or a B Class Refrigeration License
About The Role
Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment safely while abiding by all policies & procedures. As a B Class Refrigeration Operator, reporting to the Chief Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation / maintenance of all refrigeration systems, boilers and auxiliary equipment.
Principal Accountabilities
- Maintain refrigeration with ammonia cooling and compressed air systems.
- Follow all safety, food safety, and environmental regulations.
- Ensure proper operation of plant and office HVAC systems.
- Maintain building, roof, floor and report substandard conditions.
- Knowledge of TSSA standards and PSM (Process Safety Management) requirements.
- Ability to work in varied environmental conditions such as dust, noise, hot and cold.
- Comfortable working in a raw meat (beef & pork) manufacturing plant.
- Basic computer and typing skills.
- Proficient in English (reading and writing).
- Perform emergency duties if required and understand various uses of fire-fighting equipment.
- Complete other related duties as assigned by the Chief Refrigeration Engineer.
Required Qualifications
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.Must be at least 18 years old.3rd Class Stationary Engineer or a B Class Refrigeration License is required.Ability to work continental night shift (12 hours).Preferred Qualifications
Experience in food manufacturing environment and CFIA regulations.Minimum of 3 years experience as a licensed Refrigeration Operator.Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.Available to work overtime and weekends (if required) to meet business needs.Benefits
