Description

Clean Harbors in Brampton ON is seeking a local Class AZ Driver to join their safety conscious team! The successful candidate will hold a Class AZ License and be responsible for operating a variety of units (VAC Luggers Vans etc.) to transport waste from various client sites and take it back to an assigned facility for disposal. The operator will be compliant in all aspects of transportation and health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and always acting in a safe manner.

Drive operate and maintain assigned units (Luggers Vac trucks Vans etc.) to customer sites.

Loading and unloading equipment with waste.

Guarantee proper loading and unloading of hazardous / non-hazardous waste.

Perform pre-and-post-trip inspections and ensure the equipment is always mechanically sound and in good working order.

Ensure proper placarding of vehicles to meet all requirements and regulations.

Complete field level risk assessments and other related paperwork.

Work as part of a team with customers co-workers & supervisors.

Qualifications

Class AZ Drivers License required.

Hazardous Waste / TDG experience highly preferred.

Previous Vacuum truck and / or lugger operating experience.

Ability to drive up to an 18-speed manual transmission required.

Physically able to move drums skids loadings / unloading vans.

Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time.

Comfortable to be fitted for a respirator (face must be clean shaven at all times).

Must be able to successfully pass a drug and alcohol assessment.
