Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation is seeking a Manager for Westerkirk House , which is located at 105 Wellness Way in Toronto . Westerkirk House provides cancer support programs to a growing number of individuals and families living with cancer. This is a full-time position with benefits located on site at 105 Wellness Way.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of related experience, which includes motivating and supervising volunteers, and providing support to people living with health concerns
- Very strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- A high degree of organizational capability, with good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- An understanding of the impact of cancer on individuals and families
- The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English
- Adaptability based on varying demands within the role
- A high degree of proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook, and a good comfort level with tasks associated with program and volunteer administration
Key Areas of Responsibility
On-site, day-to-day management of the delivery of programming operating at Wellspring Westerkirk House, which is located at 105 Wellness Way in TorontoManagement of local volunteer resources, including recruitment, training, scheduling, mentoring, succession planning, leadership, support and recognitionProvision of front-line support for people with cancer and their loved ones, including customer service, program referrals, coordination of services, etc.Stakeholder relationship building, including outreach to, and maintenance of, strong relationships with professionals working with hospitals and community groupsParticipation in, and encouragement of, Wellspring’s growing culture of philanthropyIf you have the above qualifications and would like to support Wellspring’s mission of helping individuals and families living with cancer, please apply to Eva Thurlow with cover letter and résumé at [email protected] with Centre Manager in the subject line.
