Your New Role

Brewis Electric is looking for an Electrician with at least 5 years of experience – preferred, but not mandatory- to join their Service / Small Projects team. Reporting to the Service manager, this person will be working mainly commercial and residential services. Some key responsibilities for this role include :

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components, including wiring, lighting, and control systems.
• Diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and tools.
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and explaining work performed.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

The ideal candidate will possess an Electrical Red Seal Certification and have proven experience as a service electrician or in a similar role. They should demonstrate strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and equipment, and have the ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential, along with strong communication and customer service skills. The candidate must be able to work independently, have the physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in various environments, hold a valid BC Driver’s License, and either live on Vancouver Island or be willing to relocate.
